Today, my mission is simple: to help other leaders do the same.
I’ve seen too many capable professionals overlooked, not because they lacked ability — but because they lacked preparation. They waited for the opportunity instead of preparing for it. I want to change that.
Through leadership coaching, masterminds, and speaking engagements, I teach professionals how to develop the mindset, habits, and presence that make promotion inevitable. My frameworks — like The Growth Mastermind and Prepare Before You’re Promoted — are designed to help leaders grow intentionally, communicate effectively, and show up with confidence.
I’ve spent my life leading teams, managing large-scale missions, and developing people who went on to lead themselves. Along the way, I’ve learned that authentic leadership isn’t about ego or status — it’s about service, stewardship, and readiness.
Now, I help others build that same foundation — because when preparation meets opportunity, leaders rise.
Like many professionals, I was frustrated. I had the work ethic, the experience, and the results — but something still wasn’t clicking. I was doing everything I thought leaders were supposed to do: showing up early, staying late, solving problems, and taking on more responsibility. Yet when opportunities opened up, I watched others move ahead while I stayed where I was.
At first, I blamed timing. Then I blamed politics. But the truth was, I hadn’t truly prepared for the next level. I was performing well in my current role, but I wasn’t developing the readiness, visibility, and strategic mindset that leadership demands.
That realization came like a shock — and a challenge. I began to study leadership the same way I studied mission readiness in the Air Force: methodically, intentionally, and with a commitment to excellence. The moment I shifted from working hard to preparing smart, everything began to change.
Through years of experience in the U.S. Air Force and later as a senior federal executive, I began to see a clear pattern. The people who grew fastest weren’t necessarily the most talented — they were the most prepared. They built daily disciplines, learned to communicate with confidence, and understood how to show leadership before they were given the title.
I applied those same principles in my own career. I asked for feedback. I learned how to lead people instead of just managing tasks. I built relationships across departments and invested in training my teams to think and lead at a higher level. That commitment to preparation paid off — big.
I rose from an enlisted Airman to a GS-15 Assistant Federal Security Director overseeing six departments, 120 people, and eight airports across the Pacific. Later, I became the Regional IT Project Manager responsible for 128 TSA sites and millions of dollars in infrastructure projects. Those opportunities didn’t happen by accident. They came because I learned that preparation is the bridge between potential and promotion.
And just as importantly, I discovered that leadership isn’t about position — it’s about presence. It’s about showing up ready, even before anyone calls your name.
It’s not just about ambition — it’s about preparation. Real growth requires discipline, authenticity, and clarity of purpose. These values shape everything I teach and live by, and they’ll be the foundation of your growth journey.
Opportunities don’t wait for you to get ready — they reward those who already are. Preparation is the difference between being capable and being chosen. I stand for intentional growth, strategic readiness, and the mindset that says, “Stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready.”
Unclear leaders create uncertain teams. That’s why clarity is one of my core values — clarity of vision, message, and direction. I’ll help you cut through the noise, define what matters most, and communicate it with precision so others know exactly what you stand for and where you’re going.
Leadership isn’t about image — it’s about integrity. The strongest leaders don’t pretend to be perfect; they lead from who they are. I believe authenticity creates trust, and trust creates influence. Together, we’ll help you lead with honesty, humility, and confidence — because people follow leaders who are real.
Preparation without discipline is just good intention. Discipline is what transforms potential into performance. I believe true leadership starts with daily habits — showing up, following through, and doing the unseen work that makes you ready for opportunity. I’ll help you build the structure and consistency that make leadership natural, not forced.
Every great leader has a story, and so do I.
From my early days in the Air Force to leading hundreds across multiple airports and mentoring future executives, my passion for developing prepared, confident leaders has shaped every step of my journey. Along the way, I discovered that success doesn’t come from titles or talent alone — it comes from disciplined preparation. Here’s a look at how my leadership journey unfolded—and how I turned a lifetime of readiness and real-world experience into a mission to help others prepare before they’re promoted.
After 20 years of service, I retired from the Air Force with a deep understanding of leadership, structure, and discipline. The military taught me that preparation isn’t optional — it’s survival. That mindset became the foundation for everything I’ve done since.
I began my civilian career with the Department of TSA/Homeland Security, bringing military precision into public service. It was here that I learned how leadership in government requires not only technical skill, but emotional intelligence and adaptability.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning, I earned three master’s degrees — in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology Management — I also taught business, leadership and technology courses at DeVry University and Keller Graduate School. Preparation became my daily discipline.
Through hard work and readiness, I rose into senior management positions. I began managing large-scale operations, and cross-functional teams. My leadership philosophy evolved: You don’t grow into leadership — you prepare into it.
One of the proudest chapters of my career — overseeing six departments and 120 employees across eight airports in Hawaii. I launched a 60-day leadership tour to meet every employee personally and introduced the John Maxwell Leadership Program, which reshaped the culture of leadership within the organization.
After decades of leading and mentoring, I formalized my philosophy into a growth system for professionals. The Growth Mastermind helps leaders bridge the gap between potential and promotion — transforming preparation into power and readiness into results.
My leadership training grew. I began teaching, mentoring, and coaching other managers throughout the TSA Pacific Region, helping several leaders strengthen their leadership confidence and communication.
Today, I’m a Seasoned John Maxwell certified leadership coach, speaker, and Trainer — empowering professionals to lead with confidence, clarity, and discipline. My mission remains the same: help others prepare before they’re promoted, so they can lead with purpose when it counts most.
Those who have worked with me don’t just grow in their roles—they rise in their influence. From emerging leaders finding their voice to seasoned professionals mastering communication and confidence, my mentorship has helped individuals step into leadership with clarity, purpose, and authenticity. They don’t just perform better—they think deeper, lead stronger, and inspire others to do the same.
